From 4 Jan to 9 Jan my family and a number of friends from St Matthews church enjoyed a break from it all at a campsite near Robertson called Rivierzicht.

We loaded up our Kombi and trailer to almost bursting and then had a great trip there arriving at just after 12h00. We had been given two campsite for all 15 of us and we soon sorted out where our sleeping and living areas would be. The fishermen amongst us where at it almost from when their feet touched the ground.

For many it has been a very long wait but 2010 is at last here.

For many in South Africa it is the year of hope. The Soccer World Cup seems to have become a symbol of renewal and all things good. For some though I'm sure it will just mean more of the same. It is easy to think that things just can't get any worse but that is obviously rather myopic. As we can always find someone with more or better than ourselves and we can also always find someone with less or worse.

I have just converted my entire website over to be a Joomla based website. This is really great news and I'm very pleased that I have been able to get this done while I had a slower period over Christmas.

Being a Content Managed (CMS) site it means that I will be able to add a variety of functions that will be used as a demonstration for anyone wanting the same features on their own site. This Blog is the first addition and I look forward to adding info here that will be of interest to many folk.
